I imagine a lot of the ships would be inspired by beetles. They hooks on the legs of insects are already reminiscent of gothic crockets.

My goal with this piece was to create interesting architecture and mix old with new. Very much inspired by the Star Wars universe.

The visual development sketches helped to establish direction rather than contribute directly to the final piece.
